WELCOME TO BILL ROGERS DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Located in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, USA, near Johnstown, Somerset, Altoona and Ebensburg
When I shoot photos at places like Grand Canyon or Paris, I'm quite aware that bazillions of professional and amateur photographers have preceded me.  But
guess what? I've  never seen Vince Laforet or Joe McNally shooting pictures in my back yard. So, I'm especially proud of these photos - click
HERE to take a
look - I'll bet you'll like them too.

"A picture is worth a thousand words." If that proverb is true - and I believe it is - then my photographs will speak for themselves. Hence, you won't find a lot of
words on this site.

This website has two addresses. Here at br-digiphoto.com, you'll find my general interest photos, including (but not limited to) group and individual portraits,
landscapes, travel photos, family photos, and photographs of automobiles, airplanes, and trains.  The other web address is
IShootMusicians.com, where you'll
find my music industry photographs.

To help you understand my photographic style, I have prepared a brief
portfolio of my general-interest photographs.  For a more in-depth look by subject,
please "scroll and stroll" – scroll down this page, than stroll through my photo galleries. Thanks for visiting!

An old MAIL POUCH BARN along Rt. 53 near Wilmore, Pennsylvania. The Bloch Brothers Tobacco company of Wheeling, West Virginia, painted
barns with these advertisements between 1890 and 1992. Farmers received a small annual payment, but more important, the barn was treated to a
fresh coat of paint.  The signs read "Chew Mail Pouch tobacco - treat yourself to the best." At the height of the program in the early 1960s, there were
about 20,000 Mail Pouch barns in 22 states.  (Technical footnote: this is a 5-exposure HDR image captured in February 2010.)
